The REG-215 Damascus Steel Bowie Knife features a Exotic Marandi Wood Handle with Brass Spacers, accompanied by a Damascus Steel Guard and Pommel. This rock-solid, thick blade boasts a gorgeous handle, with an overall length of 14.00 inches, a handle length of 05.00 inches, and a blade length of 09.00 inches. Crafted from 1095/15N20 ALLOY STEELS (176 true Layers), the blade has been hand-forged to a beautiful pattern, delivering an excellent edge and sharp cutting abilities. The blade hardness is measured at HRC 58-60 and has been hand-sharpened to a keen edge.

The process behind the creation of our Damascus Steel is as follows: We use a mixture of 1095HC and 15N20 nickel carbon, which are heated and folded over and over to achieve the desired 396 layers. The blade is then immersed in acid, which gives the nickel a satin color and turns the high carbon steel a blackish-gray, revealing the distinct layers of the new steel, known as "Damascus."

After the knives are made, we high-polish the handles and sharpen the blades. This removes the acid-burned layer from the handle, and the blade edge is honed to a keen sharpness, with the acid-burned edge becoming satin.
